Born before the fall of the Wall in 1989, so far my life has been dedicated to two things I like most: water and traveling. Four things actually, since I have an additional permanent craving for ramen and Italian pasta. From a young age on my curiosity for distant lands was triggered, although it took me a while to explore the possibilities of independent traveling.
In a report from my elementary school teacher (1994), it was mentioned that at the age of 5, I was always to be found playing at the ‘water table’. Making levees, letting them collapse and observing the aesthetics of flowing water apparently grasped my interest quite a while ago.
In recent years I’ve been trying to make my way in the academic world, measuring plastic, water, plants, and other things all over the globe. For updates keep an eye out on my Google Scholar page.
